Wedding at the Trellis | Randyl + Robbie
Randyl and Robbie were married at The Trellis during the peak of fall. The couple chose a wedding date in October to showcase the beautiful foliage of the Blue Ridge Mountains paired with perfect temperatures.
Magnolia Grace Events & Co. helped plan this lovely day, and Love and Sol Photography captured the details and joy felt along the way.
Love at First Message
Their story begins like any 21st-century love story… on an app. Randyl remembers Robbie starting their interaction with a simple question, “Can you help my friends and I settle a debate?”
The pair went on a dinner date and so their love began. The couple stated, “who knew such a simple question could change the course of your life.”
A Gown from Ava Laurenne Bride
Randyl’s dress day did not go as planned. The bride went into her appointment wanting a simple gown without any pizzazz. Dress after dress she felt underwhelmed and couldn’t pinpoint what was missing.
Thankfully her Ava Laurenne stylist, Brittany, stepped in and grabbed something out of the box. Brittany chose a dress completely different from Randyl’s vision and the moment she stepped in her personality popped.
She knew instantly it was the dress for her.
A Black + White Affair
Randyl knew from the beginning she wanted their wedding to feel “upscale and sophisticated”. The couple decided on a black-and-white theme with all the moody and romantic feels.
The Trellis venue fit this vibe perfectly as the bride pictured her day “under the night sky”. Being the gentleman he is, Robbie quickly agreed to this aesthetic, and planning ensued.
Guests were asked to wear black attire to the occasion. Randyl recalls that everyone looked “beautiful and handsome”, bringing their sophisticated vision to life.
Bourbon Meets Bougie
The wedding was a perfect mix of bride and groom. Robbie is described as “manly with a tough exterior, cigars, and bourbon” in contrast to Randyl who is “vivacious, sparkly, and bougie on a budget.”
Guests felt both personalities throughout the day. The couple wanted to honor their loved ones by seating everyone at one big table. Randyl and Robbie wanted everyone to feel “special enough to be at the head table.”
This wedding day was a magical one that will be remembered. As advice to future couples planning their day Randyl said, “as long as you keep the two of you at the forefront of your decisions, everything will fall in line and turn out just perfectly.”
Dance the Night Away
No wedding is complete without the after party and this one did not disappoint. The evening was filled with drinks, laughter, and lots of dancing. The bride’s dream came true as the reception was held under a transparent tent, completing their night under the stars.
