Wedding Vendors

Shoot The Schmitz’s photos encapsulated the emotions felt throughout the day and Calista Florals transformed the venue into a fantasy world that the bride always dreamed of.

Classie Sassie Mixerz brought the party, making it fun for everyone. Guests raved about the food from Palate Sensations, boasting how delicious it was and what an amazing job the caterer did.

Rentals from the Grand Event Center made the wedding one to remember and the day wouldn’t have been complete without help from Morgan at Elder Fox LLC. She was there every step of the way.

The bride could not thank Morgan, The Trellis, and all of the vendors who made it possible enough!

The Story of Nicholas and Jessica

Jessica and Nick met unconventionally. She was working at Winchester Medical Center in the COVID unit. Jessica claims she was in her “I hate men era” and decided to make a Tinder profile to make fun of the guys and have a laugh.

Well, wouldn’t you know who showed up on her screen? Yep, you guessed it, Nick! What immediately stood out to her was that he was “.01 miles away”. This initially creeped her out but she soon came to realize he worked at the same hospital.

She decided to take a chance and swiped right. Before doing so she jokingly said, “You can’t swipe left (reject) on a co-worker”. She was pleasantly surprised to find that he had also swiped right and they have been a match ever since.

After they matched, Nick was the first to make a move by reaching out with a silly pick-up line. Jessica had posted a picture wearing a devil costume on Halloween. Nick thought this was the perfect chance to come up with something clever. He said, “I hope you’re not a devil in a relationship…”. She decided to give him a chance and meet up for lunch. Their date went so well Tinder was deleted and they never looked back.

The Meaning Behind Their Wedding Date

The couple were married on Wednesday, June 12th, 2024. Nick’s father tragically passed on June 14th and since then Nick has had a hard time celebrating his birthday on the 17th. Nick decided he wanted the wedding in June to add some joy around the somber date.

When choosing a date in June, Jessica liked the idea of 6/12/24 because the numbers were x2. It is not as common to have a wedding on a weekday but Jessica thought it was perfect for them as they are “a little outside of the box anyways”. The date also goes with a TV reference between the couple, so it just felt right!

The Wedding Dress

The bride first purchased her reception dress at David’s Bridal and originally thought she would wear this for both the ceremony and reception. However, she knew she wanted something whimsical for the ceremony and the dress just came to her.

She was scrolling through TikTok when she came across a prom video where the girl was wearing a dress that she immediately felt was the “one”. She read the comments and discovered the dress was from Zapaka. She bought the dress for only $120 and it was everything she wanted! (Perfect fit and all.)

Everyone at the wedding loved the dress, saying they had never seen anything like it.

Making Her Fantasy a Reality

This wedding was made to feel like the ultimate fairytale. The bride has always loved reading fantasy/romance novels and wanted her day to match the aesthetic of the books she reads. She wanted her day to feel straight out of Bridgerton.

She chose light, earthy tones including natural greens and pops of lavender to compliment. Jessica felt that The Trellis cottages matched her “cottagecore vibes” to a tee, making this venue exactly what she envisioned.

Jessica and Nick’s dreams came true at The Trellis. Their families raved about the venue and how nice it was to stay on-site. They felt that the cottages made it a more enjoyable experience. They thought the renovations were lovely and transformed the venue.

It was a remarkable day.
